The Flagship Enterprise Center (FEC) is a regional incubator and advanced stage business center supported by the City of Anderson, Anderson University, Purdue University, IVY Tech Community College, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA), and others.
Flagship Enterprise Center
Since opening its doors in May of 2005, the FEC has expanded its footprint to a campus of five buildings, totaling approximately 300,000 square feet. The FEC is an EDA designated Center of Excellence and the Flagship is a State of Indiana Certified Technology Park. Since its inception, the FEC has assisted in the creation of 150 companies and nearly 2,000 jobs.
The Flagship Microloan Program was established in the summer of 2010 to assist local businesses and our own Flagship Enterprise Center clients. Since that time the program has expanded to reach a 24 county region in Central Indiana. Today the Flagship Enterprise Center has approved nearly 200 loans approaching $3 million.
Flagship Technology Park
The Flagship Certified Technology Park has become the destination of choice for regional and international businesses. Swiss, Italian, Japanese, Chinese and other companies have taken up residence in the United States as part of the Flagship Family.
To transform the community into a destination of choice for entrepreneurial businesses and business leaders who will create new enterprises, new jobs, and new markets resulting in economic renewal and diversity for the area served by the FEC.
To be a premier technological Business incubator creating new jobs and contributing to the long-term economic development of the communities of Anderson, Madison County and the state of Indiana by encouraging and nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit in communities and by providing mentoring, networking, business services, educational opportunities and access to capital.
