Flagship East
Description

In 2009, a 3,200 square-foot research and engineering laboratory was constructed at the east end of the original FEC facility. The construction of the Lab Annex was funded through an Economic Development Initiative (EDI)-Special Project grant through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Although the Annex is connected to the FEC’s parent building, it is self-contained, with a small coffee bar, utility sink and restrooms, as well as designated parking spaces.

*Keihin North America -  https://www.keihin-na.com/   Keihin is a component and assembly maker of parts used by Light Duty Vehicle OEM's. Our focus is primarily in three areas - HVAC, Fuel Systems and Vehicle Powertrain Electronics. Keihin is a worldwide maker of the parts that we offer. Therefore, parts made here are also made in other countries. Having this capability is very big for OEM's since having multiple plants capable of producing the exact same part makes sure we can still deliver if something bad happens at one of our plants.  Address: 2701 Enterprise Drive, Anderson, In 46013

Description

A second Accelerator building was added to the FEC campus in 2010. Constructed as a multi-tenant industrial facility, the 80,000 square foot structure was started in May of 2010 and the dedicated in October of the same year. The A2 building is divided into two independent sections, each containing an office build-out and warehouse space. The 32’ clear span and 6” reinforced concrete floors are attractive to companies needing expansive storage space or when large equipment is used in their operation.

Technopolast -  http://www.tecnoplastusa.com/ - is specialized in plastics processing, as well as designing and production of technological equipment for chemical products. The systems made by TECNOPLAST concern the processing of corrosive fumes and odors found in industrial applications (air scrubbers), metal finishing systems (pickling, electroplating) and automatic chemical dosing systems.

Description

Flagship East  is a culmination of industry, academia, and government economic activities. The merging of these Industry partners attracts and facilitates success by developing intellectual property, contributing to developed markets, and creating end-user products. Simultaneously, university and college participants integrate industrial projects into the academic curriculum through hands-on training that is immediately relevant outside the classroom. Because of the project’s intentional partnerships, program planning and alchemy of education and industry, an educated skilled labor force will emerge and contribute to the economic vitality of Anderson and East Central Indiana. Flagship East is approximately 84,000 sq feet split between 50,000 sq feet of office, classroom, and workshop maker space. The  Wylam Center represents the remaining 34,000 sq feet which houses real world businesses who are innovating through ideation, prototyping, and light manufacturing.

Purdue Polytechnic School -  https://polytechnic.purdue.edu/anderson The Purdue Polytechnic Institute at Anderson is part of a statewide network that offers the same technology degrees available in West Lafayette. Its smaller size allows for dedicated, one-on-one attention while you earn your degree from Purdue University.
Purdue Polytechnic Anderson offers five bachelor of science (BS) degree programs. Graduates of these programs find employment in business and industry in Anderson and the surrounding communities. In addition to offering these degree programs, Purdue serves as a resource for local business and industrial personnel who are updating their skills or who need retraining in technical fields.

Purdue Polytechnic Anderson provides an individualized, practical, and real-world approach for the beginning student as well as the experienced student. The student population is a mix of traditional college-aged students who recently have graduated from high school and nontraditional students already in the workplace. This diversity brings a unique blend of education and experience into classroom discussions, benefiting all.
