Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE)
SIFE is an international non-profit organization that works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders. Our team applies business concepts to develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. In 2008-09, over 3,400 hours were invested by over 100 students into the community through AU SIFE this year to allow our 22 projects to reach over 67,000 people around the world. Project topics include: market economics, success skills, entrepreneurship, financial management, ethics, and environmental sustainability.
The Flagship Enterprise Center has sponsored our consulting program for its six year history. We select five companies from the Flagship each year and provide them with professional consulting services. Our consulting team members are specially selected to meet the needs of each company. As we are sponsored by the FEC, we are able to provide these services at no cost to the FEC clients. In small businesses or new ventures, it is often difficult to obtain the resources to create an accounting system, formal marketing plan, or even take the time to brainstorm ways to continue growth. Our consulting teams provide these services and more to the FEC clients. We are very proud of the work we do with the FEC and hope that our relationship will continue for years to come.
