 Based in Cleveland, Ohio,
Technology Management, Inc. (TMI)
was organized in 1990 for the
sole purpose of commercializing
a unique, low-cost design,
proprietary Solid Oxide Fuel
Cell (SOFC) system technology.
As Ohio’s oldest independent
fuel cell systems developer, TMI
has designed, built and operated
kilowatt class SOFC systems in
the laboratory and is now
engineering systems for
manufacture and initial field
tests.
Early funding by the U.S.
Department of Defense for mobile
military applications provided
the basis for TMI’s current
systems, which are modular,
extremely compact and field
maintainable, and operate on a
wide variety of common fuels,
including natural gas, propane,
military JP-8 kerosene and
renewable fuels such as ethanol,
biodiesel, digester biogas and
vegetable oil.
