Flagship Enterprise Center Receives WorkOne Achievement Award

Flagship Enterprise Center located in Anderson received a WorkOne Achievement Award for partnering with WorkOne to create employment opportunities for local Hoosiers. The award was presented today in a ceremony at the Indiana Statehouse.

WorkOne and Flagship have formed a dynamic partnership over the past few years. Flagship has embraced the opportunity to host and provide meeting rooms for employer seminars, Workforce Investment Board meetings and Customer Service Boot Camp workshops. They have also successfully encouraged other employers to utilize WorkOne services.

“Flagship and WorkOne have a truly unique partnership, from creating a forum for activities, to providing networking opportunities for the community and more” said Mark W. Everson, Commissioner of the Department of Workforce Development. “Their continued support for emerging companies will benefit Madison County and central Indiana for years to come.”

The Flagship Enterprise Center is a technology based business incubator and growth stage business accelerator. Flagship was created through a partnership between Anderson University and the City of Anderson. Through its client-specific Client Support Program, the Flagship Enterprise Center helps emerging companies become independently viable.

Twelve awards were presented to employers who partner with WorkOne for their contribution to growing Indiana’s economy and commitment to their community. The Indiana Department of Workforce Development also awarded 12 individuals with WorkOne Achievement Awards for their outstanding accomplishments while participating in the workforce development system. All of today’s recipients were nominated for the award by their local WorkOne center.
