Community Networks Moves to Flagship Enterprise Center

Anderson, Ind. — Former Anderson Business Incubator (ABI) client Community Networks just
can’t stop growing! Having been in the ABI for the last year and a half, the company has moved to new
offices in the Flagship Enterprise Center (FEC). Community Networks began operating out of the FEC
on May 1st.

An increase of staff size is the main reason why the move to the Flagship is necessary, says
owner Tammy Rimer. More room for the company to expand and grow, coupled with more resources
available to them through the FEC, makes the new location very appealing to Community Networks.
“The FEC offers many great networking and business resources that already have and will
continue to help with the growth and success of our business,” says Rimer.
Business for Community Networks looks promising in the future, especially with the
opportunities that will come from being in the FEC. “The location is key,” says Rimer, “as it
makes our doing business outside Anderson much more attainable and more convenient for our
Hamilton county and Marion county venues and clients.” She continues, “It also helps us begin
our desired growth towards the Muncie area.”

“This is a great example of how the Anderson Business Incubator and Flagship
Enterprise Center can work together to incubate and accelerate the growth of new businesses,”
said DeWayne Landwehr, Executive Director of FEC, and manager of the ABI. “The ABI was
just the right place for Community Networks to begin, and now that they have reached this stage
in their business growth, it makes sense for them to move on to a larger facility, and into a
higher-tech environment. They are, and will continue to be, good corporate citizens in this
community as they grow out of the FEC and into the community.”

Community Networks was started by Tammy and Todd Rimer to provide Madison and
surrounding counties with marketing tools to strengthen their clients’ visibility within the community.

Created through a partnership between Anderson University and the City of Anderson, the
Flagship Enterprise Center serves as a small business incubator and growth stage business accelerator.
Through its client-specific Client Support Program, the FEC helps emerging companies to become
independently viable. Located at I-69 and (exit 22) in Anderson, the FEC provides ongoing contact with
management consultants, university researchers, student mentoring opportunities and access to capital.
The FEC also provides technical and managerial support to the Anderson Business Incubator.
